Talk to Ry Oberg. His dad owns a machine shop and he knows way more than I ever will.
I am learning the CNC mill right now, however I do know how to run a regular mill but its hard to do stuff. So basically with the CNC, if you can draw it you could have it on your gun.

The only way I could even consider milling a gun, is if you could get a full cad. type file on the gun with all the dim's and specs on it. Otherwise it would be way too risky....Plus its going to be rediculously expensive for only one gun, you have to factor in all the programming and set up times.

As far as anno goes, there are some local places (SLC). There is one called Pilkington that has done guns before. I dont think they will get too custom or detailed though. And they would prefer to know what type of material and alloy your gun is...you cant just say aluminum, because there are bunches of kinds of it, and it could affect how it colors it if they dont know the exact kind. Also, the more you do, the less expensive per part it is (all of the same color obviously); again, it goes back to the set-up fee's. They are all a standard price whether you do 1 or 20 pieces.

Hope that helps everyone!

if your considering doing max annodizing though, you may want to wait for a while. their shop just had a fire in it not to long ago, so they are pretty backordered. they should be up and going pretty soon and have the flow of guns going good again, and their turnaround time is also pretty good, 1 week i think, not sure though.

😕 There is this place in Ogden that is called Nova Color that says that they do paintball markers. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about how good of a job they do. I am just doing a single color so it isnt anything really fancy.
