2008 Season

Ok well I have been thinking about this long and hard, and I figured I could put it up for all to see. Please actually read the whole thing.

.....The topic is about putting D6 in the UXPL for the whole season, not just one or two events. Based on what I have gathered, the only reason that D6 is not fully incoporated into the UX is because not enough teams show up to play. I think that this is because of the one-two event only situation. Teams are discouraged. We don't want to dump all that money into coming to the UX only to play one or two events. We want a full season. I don't think that the rewards need to be as extreme as in D5 or D4, (eteks or high end guns), but something more like tanks, or paint, or things a long those lines.
.....I also think that maybe D6 could be 3-man instead of 5-man. (thanks Ross) That way it would be easier for beginner teams to put a full team together. Therefore increasing the number of teams who think about it, increasing the number of teams who will register.
.....I know that if this were to happen a lot more teams would come. And if more teams come, the more the UX gets talked about, and therefore, the more teams come in the next seasons. I think that this could greaty benefit the UXPL.
.....I believe that this is a great opportunity for the D6 teams of the surrounding area, and the UXPL to grow and benefit. I know that my team, and many others are aching to get into the UXPL, but are turned away because we don't want to only play 2 events, or we don't want to jump into D5 and get executed.

Thanks for reading,
- CJ.

I think the main reason why D6 is not put into the UXPL is because the event can only house so many teams and D5 and D4 are filling those spots.

Yes there is a D6... A Beginner Division if you will.

There problem is that only 1 team signed up as D6 and they have since Disappeared. If we can find enough teams (at least 4) we will run a D6 perhaps even on Friday nights.

The other comment is also correct that we have a good number of D5 & D4 teams who are filling up the available 24 spots.

Personally I think its important to have teams "begin" in Tournament paintball so I hope there will be more D6 or new teams join us in the future.

Allen:

Does this mean that you will put D6 back in next season? I know my team will be there.

Its not up to me at all... Its up to the teams.
If there are 4 or more D6 teams we will find a way to fit them in.
That has always been the case, if there are teams we will find a way to help them play.

Ther's a couple of d-6 teams playing d-5 this year and they are doing good. I recomend you come play the last two UXPL's as D-5 then practice every week and you will be a top d-5 next year. You will find that all of the other teams will be glad to help you and give you advice. You won't get better unless you play against better players. If you sit out this year you will just be anouther year older and anouther year behind.

The main problem with d-6 teams is after a couple of tounaments they get bored and jump on d-5 teams.
