drug testing in pros

I was thinking they should have drug testing in the pros. Not for like steroids and stuff like that. I was thinking for drugs like weed and stuff. I don't think alot of pros do it but, I think alot of people who play at lower levels who want to go pro would stop. Ya know they would stop cause they want to go pro some day.

I have to agree with this, especially if our sport is ever to gain any real legitimacy. I would love to see true Pro-Sports recognition like the NFL, NBA, MLB. We are close, but still so far away.

Untill the Pro's leave the childishness behind them and step up to the plate like Profesionals, it will be a long time...

(We're gonna get flamed bad for this...

I am totaly with you Moose, the sport still has alot of growing up to do. Back on the subject I totaly support drug testing in all levels of all sports( although that would mean ALL of UHS's wresling(I can't spell leave me alone) team would be dq'd)

if you think about it. having drug tests would help the sport in more than one way. It would help the players do better, seeing that they would be more healthy and it would prolly help the atmosphere.

I say no. . . not that i do em but im not gonna submit to a drug test unless im earning something more than a bunch of prizes.

drug testing, in my opinion, would impact this sport in a negative manner. Pball has always been a sport of an alternative nature. I think that in time this may be a possibility, but extreme sports don't drug test. When we get more main stream as a sport, that would be when they may think about it.
Do they drug test pros in sports like motocross, inline skating, skateboarding, freestyle riding? I don't believe they do, and they are more main stream than what our sport is. But thats my opinion hehe.

Why do we test for drugs in any other sport?

Why do we test for drugs in the olympics...???

Why dont we just let all atheletes use whatever they want, It'll be more entertaining to see 400 lbs. lineman moving like a wide reciever taking down a quaterback... They may "burn out" in there first year, but hey, they are expendable. Plenty more where they came from to take there place from the ranks of the colleges...

Lets see Tiger Woods use steroids, He'll hit farther...

Lets see nascar drivers drive the 500 with weed in there system, That'll be interesting...

I could go on, By all means lets not test for drugs, It'll make life interesting...

I shudder to think how all the "Great One's" in sports would have turned out had they not been prevented from using drugs by being tested.......

I am not saying that drugs are good by any means. But what paintball athletes have the money for steriods? "i may not be able to shoot you out, but I can KICK YOUR ASS!!!!" hahahaha a steriod freak playing paintball. where the hell can I buy tickets for that one?
The most important thing that we are missing here is the fact that if drugs "were" legal for athletes, those that have their integrity, would not use them! Lets not over look that fact.
