I heard you can make a double nine volt battery adapter, by buyin some parts from radio shack?

Anyone know how to and what parts you have to buy?

I was also informed that the life of the batteries would be the same if not longer with the 2 nine volts and work just as good, is this true?

Thanks

Not sure about the battery life yet since I haven't had it long enough to run a set of 9 volts out. But it has been really nice not having to carry a ton of AA's around. I just carry 3 or 4 9 volts to cover my marker and the Halo incase of a problem.

All you really need is 3 9-Volt adapter wires and some electrical tape or shrink wrap. If you want to do it nice, then a little solder might come in handy.

Some basic information is on PBN http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=901643&highlight=%2B9+%2Bvolt
You can follow the links around and get the info on how to build it.

The mod I have has the wiring harness and a padded metal clip (read: U shaped metal) that holds the batteries together.

The 9 v mod is woth it even if you lose some battery life because it is so much lighter than 6 or 4 aa's. I got mine of pbn for 3.50 shipped.

one thing about the 9v harness though. 2 or 3 guys on my team have had problems with their halo's from it, i dont know why, but its causing some problems. mine works fine, but i have heard of other incidents like theirs.

It will shorten the life of your motor in both the halo and the empire, but for the extra speed, lightness, and longer battery life it is well worth it. I have gone over 7 cases on 2 9v and they still havent even started slowing down.
