derek,

you have been great for paintball in Utah but you are telling this kid to waste money.

if i had to go onto the field with a shocker or a slingshot, there wouldn't be a second of hesitation, the slingshot is much more reliable.

But leik OMFG leik Dynasty uses SHoxers so they must be reliable....jk I have no idea I've never shot either, but I hear Ego's are pretty reliable

I will stick my gun under your mask and ramp on your face for a few seconds to disorient you, then I will proceed to tank whip you in the nuts repetitively until you pass out in the middle of the field so I can wear you on my back like a buffalo hide and sneak behind the rest of your team.
What can I say I don't like cheaters 🙂

Let me throw a curve imto this post. If your looking for a inexpensive marker that is easy to maintain, what about the Quest?
It is not well know in Utah but it can be completly lubed including the reg, lpr and bolt in less than 10 minutes and not change any of the settings! It only has 1 moving part, no barbs or hoses. The bolt has 3 orings and it loves dow 33. When one of our team gunz goes down its the quest that gets used. I have 2 if you would like to shoot 1 let me know. You can get into a new one for around 700.00 or a good used for 500.00. Just an idea, my teams do not shoot them do to sponsorship rules but I keep them as spares because I can completely overhaul them in less than 5 minutes and only cost around .50 to do so. The dollars add up when your overhaulling 14 to 20 gunz before each tourney.

Lol

This just further reinforces that the best marker is the one your comfortable using. Id try to borrow one of each next time you get a chance and see which one feels best in your hands.

Everyone has their own opinions on each and every marker and there is no right or wrong answer.

Quests, Shockers, and Egos are all excellent markers and i really don't think you could go wrong with any one of them.

i agree with Skinny the quest is a great gun with one moving part they shoot just as fast and accurate as any spool valve gun: pm's, dm's, freestyles, and shockers. Plus they are pretty good one air they are not air hog like most spool valves . I do like shockers over most guns do to the fact i like the way they feel and i have never had any of my 3shockers go down at a tournament because i do know how to take care of them and it is not realy the guns fault or manufactorures fault that the gun goes down it is just a lot of people dont know how to take care of them.
So, all of these guns that every buddy has told you about are all great guns and they are all worth looking at. And sense you only asked for a comparison between the PMR and the NXT i would certainly go for the NXT. But i do think you should also keep in mind the quest, they are amazing. you can also go to pbreview.com to look at reviewa of all of these fine guns

P.S.
I did not write this to diss on any one of you out there that have had problems with the shockers and i dont mean to make it look like you dont know how to take care of a gun if that is what you though i was trying to say.

I would have to agree with Allen on this one I have seen a lot of shockers go down in tournys, I have also seen Dereks shockers go down several times before in tournys. So in my expereince I would stay away from the shockers. I have played with Pms, ego's, I have also played with Ion's they don't seem to have the same problems that shockers do but they are spoolers. I have looked and the epipany's but they are heavier than the first ion's and the only difference is the soleniod is bigger and the hoses so you can run higher pressure for the recycle rate, but they didn't do anything to the board. But the weight change is heavier good guns to look at but I dont know about playing with them. I would have to say the cheapest marker and the most reilable is going to be the E-tek and it is easy to clean and mantain them than a spooler.
