Well there are a lot of good boards for the proto, I have used the WAS team board, Predator board, Tadao, Lucky board with DM chip, and I tried a Virtue once. They are all very good boards, personally I like the lucky board because DM chips are usually cheaper then buying a board from any company, and it's easy to swap the chips. But if your not into that, then I would suggest either the Predator or Virtue board.

hey jordy,if i was you dont buy the virtue or any other board because if you buy a ul frame it has psp and nxl mods and all that already in the board.
