hey sorry your team didn't get off the ground. The best thing I can tell you is to just keep playing and most first year team have troubles getting sponsors. My team has now placed in four of the five events we have played and we are still looking for sponsors.

And no I am not in a hurry to run up to the local shop plaster their name all over my gear for 10% off.

You have no idea what your talking about. To get a sponser it takes more then one Season of UXPL to get a sponser. Plus you never know what the sponser ship will include. And if you do get a sponser you will most likely take it.. Trust me. A litle sponsor ship is better ten no sponsership. Even if its only 10% off its still better then not having a discount. It all depends on your sponsers. Plus its kind of a really cool honor be even get sponsered by a pb company or store. Not trying to be a dick but most people will agree with me.

Jeremy is right, it takes many years of being a team to get good sponsors. If a store offeres free air or a discount to you, take it. A small sponsor may turn into a large sponsor down the road. Show your sponsors that you are wanting to help them not wanting them to help you.
The first team I put together 3 years ago got Jersys from proto.
It gets better each year as long as you stay together. This years team received from proto, Masks, Jersey, Pants, Gloves, Free lettering, and a great deal on a pm6 or dm6 + free repair parts. They also get paint at buy 12 get 5 free. 20 cases free for a podium finish and 20 cases free for any PSP or NPPL.
I only tell you this because if you show your sponsor loyolty they will repay you and eventually you will be part of there familiy. Purchace everything from your local stores and they WILL put some of back into your pocket as prizes and sponsorships.

ya i agree with skinny and jeremy.
It takes alot to get sponsored. But even the little ones count, Like Skinny said little sponsors could go big down the road. Not only that i think it feels really cool to tell kids at school im sponsored by a paintball store/feild/etc.
