Peach days tournament in Brigham City

Here is what I recommend for starting a tournament.

If you want people to show up you will probably want to have a bring your own paint tournament.
But incense your looking to earn some cash and not just hold a freebie, you might want to charge an entry fee and maybe get a few paintball company’s to help you with prizes.
Another thing you need to consider is that if you want a big turn up to this tournament is that you might want to have 3 divisions to play in. the divisions that I recommend would be:

Young gunz.
Division 6. (For people that have never really played in a tournament or who are less experienced.)
Division 5. (For people that have experienced tournaments before.)

You should also make the tournament a 5-man tourney for D6 and D5. And a 3 player for young gunz. That way people with smaller teams will be able to enter, and you can get a better tourney
And also so you don’t get to over loader with one certain division you need to make a 10 team maximum roster for each division.
That means that only a maximum of 10 teams will be allowed to sign up for there division. That way you don’t end up with 13 D5 team 7 D6 team and 15 young gunz teams. Or some other too much or too less divisions

Next thing you need to conceder is when and where is it going to take place. Are you going to hold it out side or inside? Will it be hot outside or cold?

Now for the entry fee. You want to make it so that people will be able to enter the tournament and you will be able to earn money in return.
So make it cheep to enter but enough to earn some money too.

This is what I recommend the prices should be

3 man Young gunz: $95.00
5 man D6: $200.00
5 man D5: $275.00

And then each division should be able to put one other player on there roster that way if someone cant make or if someone gets hurt that will have another player to take place or that person.

Now for the prizes. Get some companies to help you. But don’t give out prizes like masks and pods because know really cares about that stuff. You need to give out prizes like trophies to the top 3 teams of each divisions, and then you can give the other guys all those pods, masks and other donated stuff to the other teams.

Well I hope you do well. And if you hold a tourney my team is interested in going.

Peach Days is a 3 day event in Brigham City with all sorts of activities. A huge car show, Harley show, mud ralley's, demo derbies, and much much more.

There's live music, dances and all sorts of night life too.

There is about 20,000 people that live in Brigham and about 75,000 to 80,000 are there that weekend, so people come from all over.

We would like to hold a 1st annual Peach Days event. It would be alot fun to play in a tourney AND enjoy the festivities of Peach Days.

We would like to have the field available to play on all three evenings after the tourney games are over. Playing into the night would be cool.

We want it to be a Bring Your Own Paint event. We want the entrance to be low, so people could afford to play. We don't really want to profit from the event, the entrance would just cover the expenses of the event (insurance & refs that sort of thing) If you want prizes you would have to pay more.

We would like it to be a layed back atmosphere and just come play paintball.

As everyone knows there are a couple of excellent leagues here in Utah and we certainly don't want to take anything from them.

A Peach Days event would be fun to just come play some Paintball take part of the other activities and hang out with friends.

As far as the game format, it would be alot easier to run just regular 3 or 5 man nppl rules. Xball would be fun, but we would have to find a 2nd field (which can be done pretty easy). Alot of Xball games held locally have bombed. So we aren't sure what we will do.

We will have to make a decision pretty quick. We can see the the interest in XBall and we might just do exactly that.

I want to thank ragdoll for starting the interest on 801.

Any other comments would be appreciated!!!
