How can I make my Batteries last longer?

Is there one battery to buy thats better than the others?
I try and use the decent duracell or energizer kind. My Vlocity just goes through them so fast. Even my halo kinda does.

turn off your vlocity between games. Leave it off before 10 seconds, turn it off when you get shot, etc. Vlocitys drain batteries but if you keep them off when you arent playing you should be fine

i have recently gotten into R/C planes, mostly electric, and i was looking at trying some of the smaller lithium batteries that i use in my planes in one. if i could find a loader that someone is selling for cheap, i could take it, change out the plugs and get a couple of the lithiums. they are rechargeable, and they will hold a whole lot more than the rechargeable 9V's

I have seen them. I asked about them. The kid I talked to swore by them. The thing you have to consider is cost. In the short run. They make no sense to buy. But when you look at the season cost for batteries... it makes a lot of sense. They are about 80.00 each battery pack. So, I personally, would have 2. Just in case one went down. So your looking at 160-170.

The battery option is easier to figure. Most batteries are anywhere from 4-6 dollars for enough to feed your hopper. Figure 2 to 3 a tourney, thats about 18 dollars. over 5 tourneys. Go with the batteries. But with practices, tourneys, pick up, shooting to chrono. It adds up to much more than you would pay for a boost.

why not buy one. bring some batteries as back up and let us all know how it works out

Duey-Dog Bone Packs > Boost Packs. They maintain higher voltage throughout its use, increasing your speed over that of Boosts. They are wired in parrallel so it wont burn out your motor. Boost packs are more expensive than Bone Packs.

I have been using a NEOPHAN Battery pack since Last summer. They are Great, and i hear they are affordable. Talk to Brad russon next time you see him, he uses a NEOPHAN pack as well. Neophans are onyl out for Halo.reloader right now. Srry no vlocity. 🙁

actually the price of lithium polymer batteries has dropped quite a bit in the last little while. Its the charger that is the expensive part, but i already have that so its not a big deal.

the only thing that i need to figure out is the voltage that they take. such as the halo, are the AA's wired in series or parralell(sp?)? the thing is, each lithium cell is about 3.sumthin volts, so the packs come in 11.1 or 7.4. 7.4 might be a little slower, but 11.1 might burn up the motor a little quicker...it all depends on what you want.

here is an example of the type of battery pack i would use...

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGHE2&P=0

or

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLUJ3&P=0

here is a page of these types of batteries...it won't let me select just one battery...some of these would work. the demensions of the halo battery slot are 2 1/2 X 1 1/4 X 1 3/4, so just look for the ones that would fit in there. The three cell 2000 mah would fit just right. that would run the halo for quite a while, but it is 80 bucks...

As far as the VLocity's go, thay have a smaller slot because they just take 2 nine volts, so i am still looking for a battery to fit

Turn down the feed rate to like 2 or something. You still probably wont out shoot it.
