don't get a new board just because people tell you to but if you want to try a new board I would do some research on the internet and find what you think would be best for you.

I have read some reviews on the new smart parts board called, I think, blackheart or something like that. It's a nice upgraded board with nxl modes, dbounce adjustment, bolt stick adjustment. I think it has everything you need and should help stop the ion's first shot drop problem.

hmmm

THe question u have to ask is "why, do i need a new board?"

I run an ion with a tboard, i replaced the stock board because i burned it out.

First are u getting all you can out of the ion as it is? The first upgrades i would recommend over a board would be a better trigger and a lighter bolt. I am yet to see nay one who can actually shoot at 17bps without cheater software (spoon may be close).

You might see the results you want with a better trigger. I saw about 2 to 3 balls per second increase once i replaced my trigger.

😎 RE: What board should I get?

Hey Pimpinbackman, there is a couple of nice boards out for the Ion, but it also depends on what you are going to play, if your going to do the tournys and stuff like that I would suggest the Blackheart for the main reason that it has a nppl mode built in, you can be out playing with your buddys and be ramping up around 20 bps and switch it at a tourny with a couple quick adjustments and be totally legal, plus it has the advantage over your stock board with "chirps" when you make adjustments and it will also tell you what your settings are at without having to run them either all the way up or down to find out where your currently set. Of course I have one in my Ion (hence the name) and I love it! But keep your stock board handy just in case you need it sometime.
