maybe the seahawks could have had a chance if they were good enough to make money so they could pay the refs 😛 .

hahahaha seahawks suck!!! hmmmm... they had the ball before half time and blew off way too much time off the clock AND at the end of the game, they looked a little loss. HORRIBLE for a superbowl team, they deserved to lose with that kind of a performance.

hahaha.... my thought as well.

Its all about so called entertainment any more and not the actual aspect of the game.

I didnt even enjoy watching the game. The reffing was rediculous, the Superbowl commercials were not very super, and the half time show was the most hideous display of senior citizens in tight pants that I will ever see. At one point I was contemplating suicide and wondering how I could end my misery with my chips and dip.

Let me start off by saying that I've seen better reffing at special olympics bowling tournaments. As the game progressed, I started to believe more and more that the reffs were actually working for the Steelers. After a little research, I learned that I am not the only one with the theory, and I have compiled a list of bad calls that have me convinced that Seattle should have taken the trophy.

(in close to chronological order)
-FAKE 'Pass Interference' penalty against Darrell Jackson which stole valuable points from the Seattle scoreboard.
-FORGIVEN 'Illegal Hit' called on Michael Boulware (the call was waved)
-FAKE Roethlisberger's "touchdown". Roethlisberger, who was already down, moves the ball from the 2-inch line to the end zone. Everyone in the entire nation saw that it was not a touchdown, but after instant replay, the head ref says its a touchdown.
- FAKE 'Offensive Holding' called against Seahawks after a completed pass to tight end Jerammy Stevens.
- NO REFS? Joey Porter commits a horse-collar tackle on Shaun Alexander, yet he is not called for a penalty.
-FAKE'Block Below Waist' Matt Hasselbeck throws an interception but is called, despite never hitting the blocker below the waist.
-FORGIVEN Hasselbeck in the fourth quarter "fumbles" the ball; instant replay showed there was no way they could keep the call. (waved)

"Seahawks had more first downs, 20 to 14.
They had the ball longer, 33:02 to 26:58.
They had fewer turnovers, one to two.
Hasselbeck outpassed Roethlisberger, 273 yards to 123 yards. Alexander outrushed Parker, 95 yards to 93 yards."
-Cyd at Outsports NFL

How can I even respect the NFL when horse shit like this happens in the Superbowl? The NFL knew that the dissapointment from the actual game was not enough, so they added the pain of a terrible half time too. I don't know what embalming-fluid-milkshakes the 'Stones are drinking, but I think they should all have died a long, long, time ago. Even fanatical 'Stones fans have the same oppinion.

In my mind, and the minds of millions like me, Football has become as gay as professional lawn darts. The NFL is comparable to the National Billiards League. If I were given the choice of watching this again and getting a root canal, it would be a very hard choice for me to decide which would be more painful.

first off stats dont win games, points do. ok seahawks had more first downs maybe the steelers had longer first downs. example seahawks throw a 10 yard pass=1 first down, steelers throw a 30 yard pass=1 first down. i shouldnt even have to explain time of possesion. turnovers lets say out of three times with the ball the seahawks punt twice and get turned over once. steelers score once and turnover twice. so that also proves nothing. hasselbeck out threw ben. theres 10 other people on the field and also rushing yards. alexander outrushed parker by two yards also theres more than one running back. for those who think the refs cheated maybe your right but i seriously doubt it.

the statistics are to prove that the Steelers were not a superior team. I guess you didn't read the other parts?
