PSP X-Ball News! I will attempt not to go into detail here, but there is a lot of info regarding the X-Ball Tournaments at Velocity Paintball. I will refer you to the Velocity Forums for more details. www.playatvelocity.com/forums
Full information will be available in the forum during the next 2 hours... In the preceding months, players have indicated there ideas and concepts regarding the X-Ball formats. We appreciate that! Velocity paintball will implement the PSP rules, format, and registration as fully as possible for 2006. Some of the following outlines are subject to change according to the final decisions of the PSP and Velocity Paintball. All Velocity Paintball X-Ball players will be required to have player I.D. (This registration application is the same format as required by the NPPL, & PSP). However, this registration will carry no fees at this time, but players wanting to play X-Ball will need to be prepared for this later. We will implement the same divisions as the PSP. However, all divisions may not be played at Velocity this year. There will be no 3-man X-Ball. Divisions will be: Young Guns, Division II, and Division III. The Division I is pending at this time, but we have included details on the forum. All teams will have the ability to receive ranking points as decided by the PSP. Paint: In this forum, we have discussed the paint issue extensively. Velocity will provide 2 grades and two price ranges for tournament paint. Players can upgrade between the two grades for the tournaments, but will need to pay the difference in price. I have been corrected on the price and I apologize. Shipping costs are the issue. It will be between $40 and $45 plus tax. This price has been arranged for X-BalI players, has been tested, and is very good paint. This helps solve the anxiety about ramping and paint costs in the X-Ball format. Again, more info in the forum. The practice field info is in the forum. Fees: These are extensive, and are covered in the Velocity forums. Discussions concerning the Division I format would consider formulations which can be used to generate a Division I team for the 2007 National PSP and NXL tournaments. The PSP X-Ball format at Velocity Paintball and PSP rules will now allow for players with more tournament experience to participate in more tournaments locally. Velocity Paintball will eventually consist of two X-Ball tournament grade fields with all the amenities. This will allow for uncapped tournament events, even if it calls for us to move Divisions into another weekend of tournament play. NOTE: The decision concerning prizes will be dictated on the number of teams that sign up for each division within the pre-registration dates. After the closing date, the Velocity Advisory Board will help decide the prizes to be awarded. Thanks....... Last edited by Velocity2 : 01-07-2006 at 05:57 PM. | |||||
