UXPL Dates

Now that NPPL, XPSL and PSP have set dates here is the UXPL schedule.

2006 Dates
May 13th - 5 Man
June 10th - 5 Man
July 8th - 5 Man
July 22th - 7 Man
August 19th - 5 Man
September 17th - 7 Man

July 22th 7-man will be XPSL & UXPL Affiliate
August 19th will be the UXPL Season Finale
September 17th will be XPSL affiliate Mixed Open class

We added the Sept 17th 7-man so that local teams can get prepared for the XPSL 2 weeks later.

I also moved the first date back from April to May so that it does not conflict with the Las Vegas PSP on April 22.

There are still some details pending on several fronts, however many of the team captains have been asking me for a schedule so here it is.

There is some additional info at the UXPL webiste but the Classifications and costs are not final. I will not have that firmed up until the NPPL confirms thier Feeder contracts.

Thanks and we look forward to a great 2006 season in the UXPL..

..

I have been talking with the NPPL quite a bit. Things looks very good for the UXPL to become a feeder and I beleive it will happen. There is some preliminaty info on the UXPL page.

NPPL will not "officially" announce the feeder prorgam until after Jan 1st so I dont want to steal any of thier thunder, and its not final until then.

Keep in mind that ALL 30 feeder circuits including the XPSL will go to the new D5, D4, & Open classifications. Both the existing XPSL and UXPL players will have to be integrated into the new system.

I suspect some players will benefit from the new unified classifications and some will not. All players will have to get NPPL ID cards for $35 to play in XPSL or UXPL or any other feeder circuit.

However that way every tournament player will know where they stand and what division they can play on at ALL NPPL affiliated events.

The global standardization is something I strongly support.

If you register for the whole season will it include both 7 man tournaments? What will be included in the pricing? Thanks for all the information you have already given and the info you will continue to give.

You are weclome!

There will be two payment options

1) UXPL 5-man events (4 events)
2) UXPL 5-man and 7-man events (6 events)

We are still working on what we can include in pricing. The annual contracts will have specific costs as well as exact prizes and payouts. Much of that is still in negoiation with sponsors, thats why I dont want to give exact cost & prizes until we have a firm package to provide to the teams.
