Safety its up to us Recently i have had the oppurtunity to play several rec games both regulated and outlaw. I am deeply concerned that now more than ever we have a large group of people who know nothing of paintball safety.
I am amazed how many people don't know what a barrel plug is? These aren't 14 year old kids either these are grown men with thousand dollar markers, whats 3.00 for a plug? I am even more amazed when i asked a spec op group about plugs and they told me they don't need them and they all had hunters safety. 😲 It was bad enough that i moved a few hundred yards away and wore goggles on and off the field. At the fields we can enforce the barrel plug, goggle area, Chrono rules, but in outlaw ball we have to put up with morons. I hope that all of you will continue to push the safety rules no matter where you play, no matter how angry these idiots get. I don't allow people who don't follow basic safety to even play with me i suggest you do the same. We cannot afford anymore injuries. We already had a guy blinded in provo for lifting up his mask in a game(basic rule) and with more firepower these rules are more important now then ever. Take a stand and tell these jerks who are risking your right to play paintball safely to grow up. Its not like we are asking much 1. Barrel plugs off the field 2. Chrono your gun : To the idiots: Its not our responsibility to make you safe, its not the fields responsibilty its YOURS!!!I can promise you if you injure me due to your stupidity im gonna injure you right back. I agree totally. I am constantly reminding people to cover their barrel and to keep their mask on. If we don't push it we are going to have more injuries as more people get touchy electronic guns without a mechanical safety. Even if you have a safety, I still want to see a barrel sleeve so that I can determine for myself if you pose a danger to my eyesight. If I see your barrel covered then I can relax a bit more.
