Next Year UXPL Quote:
Got to agree with this one. He had young guns playing nov, XPSL nov's playing rookie. And 4 open players playing together in nov. The rules have to be spelled out prior to the year. Not as allen see's fit. I realize it is his league. But the dichotomy of the different divisions was glaring this year.

Yah.. not to bag on the UXPL because I had a blast playing it but the rules I don't agree on. We had 4 young guns and 2 novices on our team. It would have only been 1 novice but we were forced to play novice so we threw the other one on as well. It is kinda dumb cause we were playing teams with D1 players. Not to say it was dumb because it was way fun, I just gotta disagree on this one.

Frank, The rules for the UXPL Divisions were spelled out in November of 2004, in black and white in the Team packets as well as the UXPL website. If you want to engage me on a discussion about why we created the divisions then fine, but please base in on reality. .. __________________ -Allen Turner, Paintball Evangelist (ret) Owner Millennium Paintball Producter of Paintball Scenario Games Paradox Games Promoter Utah Extreme Paintball League Last edited by Allen Turner : 09-27-2005 at 05:35 PM.

Allen, I never saw the team packets. I was picked up after the 2nd tourney. My question is more about why the young guns from ballistic had to play nov. Or why breakout players were nov's. When they were rookie xpsl. It is all academic now. But next year I think that people should be more clearly defined. Maybe it was that the players did not fully understand the rules. I know I am still fuzzy on them.

from the way Allen was talking in the post above. He has already spelled out the propsed ranking levels for 2006. We all need to remember that neither Allen or Cory have came out and said that there would be a 2006 season yet ( although we are hopful). If we give these men time to figure out and fix any problems they had with the 05 season the 06 season might be bigger and better. But if we keep hounding them you can't rule out that they might just say to hell with it and throw in the towel on the whole thing.
So back up take a min clean your mask and marker. find out what you need fixed and give them some room. I am more then sure that in time this two men will have answers for our questions. thanks

Frank, So let me make sure I understand. You are attacking me personally and the UXPL but, 1) You have never read the team packets on divisions. 2) You have never read the UXPL website about player divisions. 3) You have never asked me personally by email, PM or Phone about the Division definitions. Well despite that I will try to answer your questions in specific. Please understand that UXPL Rookie and XPSL Rookie are NOT the same! I repeat NOT the same. That is why I would like to move to a D5-D1 definitions, I feel they are more accurate. Most of the Ballistic Young Guns are from Dark Alliance. Dark Alliance played the UXPL 2004 season and Won several events. As such they are classfied as UXPL Novice. By defintion any player who is XPSL Rookie is claissified as UXPL Novice. If you have questions about why we wrote the classifications the we did then that is fine but please read them, and then we can have a civil discussion about them. .. __________________ -Allen Turner, Paintball Evangelist (ret) Owner Millennium Paintball Producter of Paintball Scenario Games Paradox Games Promoter Utah Extreme Paintball League Last edited by Allen Turner : 09-28-2005 at 11:56 AM.

Allen, Your taking all this far too seriously. I am not attacking you personally. I have only played the game for a little over 7 months. I dont know alot about the local teams or histories. My question was just that. A question. I am not slinging arrows at you or UXPL. The guidelines for classifications, I feel, are a little addled. But that is my opinion. Not a sweeping denunciation of you and the league. If I play next year. I will be sure to inure myself with the rules, rankings and bi-laws of the league.

If you cheat against me this is what I'll do. I will stick my gun under your mask and ramp on your face for a few seconds to disorient you, then I will proceed to tank whip you in the nuts repetitively until you pass out in the middle of the field so I can wear you on my back like a buffalo hide and sneak behind the rest of your team. What can I say I don't like cheaters 🙂

YG team/Balistic Nov Who were your nov players? i know that jordan and a couple other ppl of darkalliance played the full rookie year in the uxpl the year before this one wouldnt that make them nov's? So thats why i think Allen put you in nov divison even if you were a YG team you had more than one nov player on your team, which would classify you as nov.
