Tippmann A-5 Best. Gun. Ever.
Okay, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but I really do like this gun. First and foremost, I have never, ever, not once, broken a ball in the gun. I've broken a few in the barrel, but never once have I had to pull the bolt and clean it due to an internal break. The Cyclone Feed is the best. There is a drawback to it, unfortunately, where if you get low on Air, it stops actuating automatically. If you're in a really tight spot, you can still manually actuate the feed, but that's some pretty slow shootin'. This has only come up for me once, in a scenario game, where I was trying to make the most of my air. Stock Barrel Sucks. I don't think I need to say anything else. Get a Flatline, or something else, if you hate technology. Luddite. Response Trigger. It's fun, and you can get pretty good BPS with it. If you can find the sweet spot, it'll shoot all on its lonesome, which is a fun parlor trick, but I find I can shoot faster by working the trigger. This is optional I guess, but I didnt' want to do a seperate post just for the R-Trigger. I'm lazy. Accuracy: Fair to middlin with the stock barrel, good with Flatline. Consistency/Precision: Depends on air source. HPA with secondary reg would be best, like any other marker. Field-Stripping is pretty easy, four push-pins, and you can pull the entire firing mechanism out, though mine is a little stubborn. Removing the Flatline/Barrel Adapter is harder than it ought to be, thumbscrews instead of allen head screws would be nice. Maintenence: grease it up if you pull the guts out (Which you'll rarely have to). Otherwise just put a few drops of oil in the air connector, fire a few shots, and call it a day. Pros: Little ball breakage, easy maintainence, shoots well with aftermarket barrel. Cons: Air-powered accessories like R-Trigger and Cyclone don't function when your tank gets low. Crappy stock barrel. That's all I can think of for now. | |||||
