Katrina Charity at UXPL

Maybe at the UXPL there could be 5$(other amount) raffle tickets and the money goes to Katrina and give a way stuff that pmi and others may donate....

Too make it more of a competion maybe have a booth like they have at the xpsl where you pay 5 bucks to shoot so many shots to win a prize, and all of the money goes towards Katrina!
Just a thought....

very good idea. I think the uxpl should do some kind of a donation thing for katrina. People have got to do something about it.

I think we can manage a Raffle process with little problem.

If companies or players have items they would like to dontate then please contact me about this. I will contact some of our vendors and see if they will help us.

An Idea. Just an Idea.....

What if air was 2 dollars for all day at the UXPL. Money going to the victims. I think most people can afford that. The tanks have to be checked anyway. And most likely marked. SO why dont we, as players, help out.

I'd be down. Figuring there are around 28 teams times 5 players per team =an easy 280 bucks, plus any other amount that would be donated.

the idea of chargeing for air is fine and only paying 2 bucks for all day is a good Idea I have to agree. But you have to remember that there will be some pre rookie teams that have right now have two days of play not just one. If we charge for air how do you take care of that one small group of players? I am sure no one has a problem paying for air, but I thought I would raise the question in case someone else is wondering.

Its not really the fact of paying for air its a contribution to katrina. Air comes free with the entry anyway this is just a way to raise some money for the millions of victims.

There is allways young people on teams that spend their last dollar on paint. If anyone is in this postion come to the Ballistic trailer we will donate the air money.

I fully understand wanting to help the victims of katrina. I personaly don't have a problem with paying for air to help people out.
Since I am new to this site I will give a little personal background.
I have been in the National Gurad for six years done my time in Iraq and other parts of the world as I was active duty for 3yrs. And now with these current events in the south. there is a really good chance that I will up rooted from my home and sent down there for who only knows how long to help these folks out. From my stand point how much more should I have to give?

Sorry I will get off my soap box now

I dont feel right about chaning prices for this.

This is a Donation fund not required to play.

Any of this would strictly be voluntary.
