Stargate theme game, whada think?

I'm thinking SGC (Stargate command for those who arn't in the know) vs. Gould (Over the top Cleche bad guys) we could have two stargates,
One for each team

for player re-entry onto the field. A way I would set it up is this: When you reinsert, you must go to HQ, which is an area of the field qardend off, so the only way you could get to the main field is through the gate. Here is the cool part, the enemy can capture Gatecodes to allow them access to your gate enabling them to assault and possibly capture you HQ, otherwise if they don't have gate codes the cannot get to your HQ.

much of the same props that are currently in use for Aliens can be used for this game, for instance, the energy cores Kyle made could be Naquida power generators, the Alien armour could be used for Super-solders, the guys with ghillie suits can have personal cloaking devices, the quad with the trailer could be a cargo ship ect. ect. ect. anybody else have Ideas on this topic?

Sounds cool Darrel! Making some cool "star gates" would be a challenge.

I think that people want a scenario game or two that "plays" differently with different props. Personally I have always like the 3rd force idea (Aliens, Terminators, etc.) but from much of the feedback from Aliens 6 it looks like players just want to play other players and not have any "Elite" forces on the field.

About 4 years ago we did a game called Hillbilly Greed, it was based on the Hatfields vs. McCoys and they were fight'N fer moonshine. We set up 3 stills and the players fought for control of the stills. It work well and was a "Fun" type scenario no quite so serious. Its was a blast for those of us who were there. 😁
I am thinking about running a game like that in the spring!

The other type of game that has never been done in Utah, (at least in the last 7 years) is called a Big Game. There is no story to speak of just several flag stations that you fight for control of. Its pretty simple format and little setup, the trick is getting the word out so that enough people come to make it fun. John Lowry did a form of this game at the Horeshoe Springs game but he used 5 flags for each team and 5 teams.

well, whatever you come up with, I for one will be there, as long as it's not to far to drive.

😉 <evil grin>

Um ok how about we play Napoleonic Wars. French vs. Hessions.

We march out two groups of soldiers in 2 rows deep at 100 feet apart. No hoppers one ball load at a time. A commander who yells out Row 1 fire, then Row 2 fire.

Players hit must lay down "dead" whomever is left with players standing wins.... gee sounds fun huh

Then we do it all over again.

fun

I have actually done that b4 at silver lake Michigan it was a riot, except we started several hundred feet apart and took a step forward each time we fired.

The dead stayed where they fell it was very neat to expierance that very surreal.
