Full Velocity

Well we had the first SPPL meeting and decided on a tem name. "Full Velocity."

I want to thank the people who showed and the input and synergy created brought out good ideas and problems we may face in the regional.

Now I know not everyone could make it so I have a list of 7 people to play. We need at least 10 and I need anyone else interested to pm me so I can give a call and get their info.

Its fine if we go over 10 then we can have back up and a larger team for scenario games and to adjust to individual schedules.

Thanks for coming! 😳

I would love to join a team, I'm just a bit short on cash. I think I could swing the requiset 1000 paintballs every week or two, but much more could be an issue.

Refering to SpecOp's position system, I usualy play the saber or broadsword positions. (I'm a big guy that can carry a lot, and not move very fast). I'm also pretty sneeky, PM me if you are interested.

Practices

Practices will be short, an hour we will concentrate on fire discipline and tactics. We looking at a 500 ball limt per practice. No spray and play, especially with a 1000 ball limit per person in a 1 hour game

Keith
if I may suggest ...we could field up to 20 and have an two teams
Some may just want to help the team practice (scout squad) and other may want the competiton. I have no problem being on the scout squad team if there are better, faster, younger players. I just like to play.

If you want to play Full Velocity needs you!!
(unless your a complete ass then go elsewhere 😁)

hmm, I think I could probably swing that. I might even be able to swing cheap(or even free) ano jobs for team members. Nothing fancy, probably just a matt black, but thats usualy what you want for woods/scenario play.

2 Teams are better then one

Excellent Idea pale rider!

Two teams for practice, and for finals plenty of people to draw from, plus backups incase of obligations and injuries.

The only stipulation for the team is.... you want to have fun, and looking to build a team and kick a little butt also. 😁

As for practices? I was thinking Thursdays at 6, 1 hour long bring air and 500 round, how does that sound team?

Right now I'm trying to get my night time job schedule shifted to get to practice.

1st practice: team manuever, assualt versus a prepared defense.
Objectives: Offense to take the defense with minimum loses, quickly, and efficently. Defense Prepare covering defenses to hold the town as possible.
WHY: A good offense gets in gets the job done, minimum losses and a good win. Defense while it doesn't win a game, it prevents a lost
Then: Sit down a determine what we need to do to do it better.
BRING: Your gear, and water ballons, make them the size of grenades, they will become a good tool to bust fortifications, lets practice cheap!

Any Feedback?

15 min Ball limit

Keith,

If the practice scenarios are 15 min then it should be a 240 ball limit.

1000 / 60 = 16 balls per minute. So 15 Min practice = 240 rounds.
12 min practice = 192 balls

Maybe you could make it 2 pods of 140 so 280 ball limit.

You could also just play 15 min of "Hopper Ball" 200 rounds. That would make things easy.

IMO Avoiding Gun fights would be one of the key training items, with that few balls you cant get in any protracted gun battles or you will be out of paint.

Movement and Cover will be more important that firepower, and fewplayers are accustomed to that type of "old School" game.

We may also want to consider 50 ball practice games or as Jan said "Tac Cap" only games for A-5 owners.

..

Fire Control

Good point Allen.

With a 1000 limit in 1 hour, we will need to practice trigger control. Good shots, lots of angles, move and cover.

A limit for practices will indeed be needed.

Thanks for the input, keep it comming... 😛

Tomorow at 6 at velocity? I'll be there. If I'm on the field's sponserd team do I need to pay the field fee? Field paint is a given, but I just want to make sure I don't show up with not enough cash.

I'll also look into purchasing a radio.

Practice pending

As for practice tomorrow. I'm not sure we decide on it yet its pending.

I can't make it till my shift chages gets approved, or disapproved. Yep boss is onray.

But if the others wish to practice itr possible, but we'll need to confirm premission from Velocity first, its their land and their rules, be curtous about it.

I need a poll fro the others about what they can meet, remeber regionals is July 15, oh so very short time away, and we will need to get registered, 200 for group.

Will do some calling today....
